Why Hatch Guitar Studio?
I started learning guitar on YouTube, but after years of trying, I hit a wall—I wasn’t improving. That’s when I found a teacher who changed everything. He taught me not just songs, but the building blocks of music—songwriting, solos, improvisation, and how to truly understand music.
I went on to study Commercial Music at UVU, write over 50 songs, record two albums, and perform live on stage. Today, I use the same teaching principles that unlocked my potential to help my students break through plateaus, play with confidence, and create their own music.

What We Teach
Rhythm/Chords
Students build their chord vocabulary and strum patterns! They learn to play with a metronome and count time in the most popular and creative time signatures!
Music Theory
Students learn to read music, guitar tab, and the most important scale in music, the major scale! They learn this scale in all 12 keys and all over the fretboard.
12 Bar Blues
Students will learn to play the blues in 7 keys. By learning the blues they learn the most influential concept on song structure for classical, jazz, pop, rock and all other genres! (They learn how to improvise here as well!)
Song
We learn music from all eras and genres. Folk, Rock, The Beatles, Elvis, Country, as well as what connects all of these songs. We learn to sing as well!
